Ive just noticed, they've brought back the Firewire 800 on the 15" models now.

You need a larger sample size though.
With only one data point for each, you need Poisson statistics. The standard deviation would be the square root of the value.
So the two values are:
138.8 +/- 11.8
141.2 +/- 11.9
So the error bars are large enough that we can't say for sure.
Also the difference is small enough that oils from touching them could be the difference.
Its good data though. Just need some more for better statistics.
Dude, you're thinking too much... There should be very little difference between two white iphones as well as two black iphones since they're made exactly the same. I'd say one test is fairly reliable in this case assuming those are the same scales.

Yet that doesn't change the fact that the BSOD still exists in XP.
Ive never experienced the BSOD in 5 years, which is remarkable given the problems i had with 95. Bought a Rev D ibook when they were released, had two kernal panics within first week. Was not impressed with the stability of Panther, Tiger seems somewhat better. Applications still seem to shut down without warning.

As the girl was White and the workers and attackers were Black, is there any chance that may have played a part in not helping her? You know, it's not out of the realm of possibility that race may have been a factor (at the same time, racism against whites is rarely spoken of).

Having looked at the numbers in more detail it is interesting that compared to the year ago quarter desktop sales are relatively static and pretty much all the growth in mac shipments is in the portable lines. Good to see Apple add 1bn to revenue anyhow.
I imagine this is an industry wide trend. More and more people are buying laptops, and in the MacBook, Apple have an extremely desirable modestly priced laptop. Even my mother in law has one! :)

Entitlement? No offense as many feel the same way. I just don't understand how some can realistically expect such a product/service to be free for how new it is.

I'm probably gonna try it out (if there's a free trial) and dump it later because I have no real need (or even want) for a cloud streaming service. Spotify has been sitting in my dock un-launched for about a year now.

I'm starting to think it will be. If you look at the "big picture" it makes sense. The iPod is in decline, so Apple's previous big Fall music event isn't really big anymore. The iPhone could shore that up and bring lots of sales to 4Q and maybe even, reinvigorate iPod sales.
Apple then uses early summer to push new Macs for back to school. Late winter/early Spring remains iPad.

The iPhone is currently the jewel in the crown for Apple so moving it to Autumn will make the latest device the main Christmas gift.
iPods won't be boosted in my opinion though; they mainly appeal to those who dont want an iPhone but use iTunes/want more than 32GB of storage.
They'll boost if they turn it into a fully fledged media behomoth that plugs into a tv and can stream as well as download from iTunes....but at a much cheaper price than an iPhone.

There's a reason it's based out of Russia. So I hope you're happy knowing your essentially buying stolen property.

The site has been up and running for years now, because noone has been able to prove in a court that they are doing anything illegal. If the courts decide otherwise and shut the site down, I'll move back to Amazon.

as others have mentioned, i'm a little surprised that only the 17inch model has a 7200rpm drive option. i'm going to check with apple directly to see if i can get a custom 15inch with a 7200 drive. my audio apps don't work well with the anything slower.
having said that, the ram, fw800 and dual layer burner are a nice addition
i was wondering about the 5400/7200 issue as well, especially as ill be doing a lot of audio and graphics work on my 15"...do you really think it'll make that much of a difference save a few seconds?

But this does my school did a survey online and we found as March 20 the Ratios look like this- Blackberry 17%, iOS 40, Android 35%, other ties in the rest. Highest selling phone: iPhone 4, iPhone 3gs, Lg Optimus 1 series of phones.
Online surveys are worth the paper they are written on. The best data suggest that iPhone marketshare in the US is stagnant and Android based handsets are booming
