If there’s one thing we love about Kim Kardashian, it’s her larger-than-life imagination. Girl has been a dreamer ever since we (and she!) can remember, and with her fairytale finally coming true in the form of anengagement to long-term beau Kris Humphries, Kim’s been feeling reminiscent of days — and rings — gone by.
“In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she told People, of course referring to her engagement sparkler from beau Kris Humphries and designed by family friend Lorraine Schwartz. The jeweler has not only equipped Kim with hot jewels for the Emmy Awards but has also crafted engagement rings for other big-name stars like Beyonce.
But Kim got more than she ever wished for with her colossal emerald-cut rock, which is flanked by two 2-carat trapezoids and weighs in at a total of 20.5 carats! (By comparison, Kate Middleton’s larger-than-life stunner is 18 carats.) “It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” said Kim of her bauble. “It’s perfect.” (For a close-up of Kim’s ring, click on over toPeople.)
What’s even more perfect is the way Humphries found Kim the ring of her dreams without her knowing. That’s right, Kris went incognito and worked with Lorraine to design the perfect bling especially for Kimmy. Kardashian explains, “[Lorraine] always listened to what I would want and the shapes I love. I had said I loved an emerald cut and they were scheming and plotting for a while.”
Humphries said of the $2 million ring: “I knew she’d love it — she better!” Um, how could she not?!
