I think AT&T is getting tired of dropped calls on it's frequency band...it wants to start dropping them on T-Mobile's as well.

I say get one with the lower pricing before the AT&T deal goes through - so AT&T has to honor your 2 year T-Mobile contract.
I have a nicely priced old voice plan and would like to add the $10/month 250MB data plan... ;)
BTW - is this just an unlocked iPhone 4 that someone put on T-Mobile and is passing around this rumor? :D

Even if the chip was available, Apple would not use it. They would prefer to have it's customers buy a 3G phone, then have a need/want to buy the 4G in less than 2 years.

bought the 27 inch quad i5 stock version last august just days after refresh. I loved it but due to wacky screen issue (dust or heat flaw) I got the apple store to just swap it out 3 months after I bought it. Second one had no issues and continues to perform flawlessly. I want to get a new macbookpro with thunderbolt but I think I'm going to hold off until Lion is released.
I think that a lot of people are going to be doing the same. It just makes sense. 129.00 is not an insignificant amount of money and if there are any issues with this new machine then maybe they will have the bugs worked out by the time that Lion makes its debut. I am also hoping that Apple has the new version of iWork ready by the same time.

It is Apple. Number 2 is not the reason. Chances are moving it to another venue would cost more money which means less profit.
Google is more than likely just trying to cover cost. Apple is going to try to make a profit.

Around here AIM is all anyone uses...
The American market is not like the rest of the world and it really isn't 'all anyone uses'.
Here's a more recent survey...
"London, April 10, 2006 � comScore Networks, the leader in digital media measurement, today released the results of an analysis of instant messenger (IM) usage in various parts of the world. According to the study, eighty-two million people, or 49 percent of the European online population, used IM applications to communicate online in February. In comparison, sixty-nine million people in North America, or only 37 percent of the online population, used IM during the same timeframe. Interestingly, the analysis showed that IM is most heavily used in the Latin American region, with 64 percent of the online population using IM in February.

I somehow have the feeling the the MobileMe service as we know it will stop to exist. Maybe they will offer some features 'a la cart' or a more expensive buffet option.

Line at Brea Mall is to Macy's, probably about 150-200 people here.
Any idea how fast these lines move? This'll be the first time I've camped out for a product.

Once the line starts moving, it should move fairly quickly. All hands will be on deck at Apple and hopefully people have figured out which version they're purchasing in line.

Safari is terrific, but phones with the latest Opera aren't too bad at all.
Verizon's got the Touch Pro 2 if you like keyboards, and soon the Imagio (info here (http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/New-pictures-of-the-HTC-Imagio-XV6975-for-Verizon-article-a_7140.html)), both of which are world phones (CDMA and GSM) with WVGA on a huge touchscreen.
They're supposed to be getting a couple of Android devices this year, and of course one or two Pre models early next. The days of Verizon being device barren seem to be disappearing.
As for the remark about big cities, everyone up here around NYC knows that Verizon takes pride in making sure there are no dead spots in their home area. Report one, and they'll fix it. They have literally thousands of mini cells on buildings downtown.

Look, you made a claim that TB seemed like an evolution of Fiber channel. I use Fiber channel day in and out on everyone of my servers. All our storage infrastructure is built off Brocade/HP equipment using a Fiber channel SAN.

You essentially just claimed USB 3 was a replacement for Gigabit Ethernet. One is a host based interconnect, the other is a networking protocol.

It does vary quite a lot by where you live. Living in Sweden (and coming from the UK) just about everyone I know uses MSN.
Same here, it seems that AIM is only popular within the US. Elsewhere Messenger totally dominates.
I don't know a single person who uses AIM. Not one.

We're still working on both and are still planning on including these in our next version of Parallels Worktation and Parallels Desktop. Beta launch for these products are still slated for around the turn of the year.

So far, Leopard is something I'm not willing to pay for.
I expected just a little bit of a UI change, it just looks like a little updated version of Tiger.
I really wonder what these top secret features are because the current features aren't impressing me enough to open my wallet.
Ergh, you do realise this is a Developer's Preview? A BETA version ie. not finished, not anywhere near finished, feature-incomplete, "for testing only" version of Leopard don't you?
Tiger (especially Dashboard) changed beyond recognition between it's sneak peek and release.
